TravelManagers' personal travel managers couldn't resist breaking into song following their outstanding success at the recent Australian Travel Awards, look out Australian Idol! TravelManagers' success continued with its collection of awards announced at the Australia Travel Awards at a formal gala ceremony held on 25 March at Dockside, Cockle Bays Wharf in Sydney.

Chief executive officer Joe Araullo was full of praise for this team who increased their award count from three to five collecting two overall awards and three highly commended acknowledgements.

"Both Aileen Collins and Sue Kuti were winners for the second year in a row which is incredibly exciting for them and us. Aileen successfully defending her 'Best Travel Consultant Asia' title and Sue picked up a 'Best Travel Consultant Adventure' having won the South America title last year."

Mr Araullo believes the fact 21 percent of the finalists were home-based consultants, in the categories they were eligible to enter, speaks volumes.

"The concept is taking off. I know how professional our team is, ensuring their clients are constantly provided with a level of service and expertise that exceeds their expectation every time. They are tremendous ambassadors not only for TravelManagers but for the travel industry. I couldn't be happier."

TravelManagers received five awards in total which was the highest number of combined winners and highly commended awards on this night. Both Harvey World Travel and Flight Centre Group followed with four awards each and then Jetset/Travelworld Group and Travelscene with three each.
