TravelManagers continues to expand its team of support staff for its personal travel managers. This week they are advertising for a training manager which is a new position for the company.

The position will report the executive general manager, Mandy Scotney who says the role is very much designed to focus on both the induction training and the ongoing development of their personal travel managers.

"With the increasing interest in the model from consultants we wanted to ensure consistency in our induction. We want to allow our new personal travel managers to be assessed regarding where they require support so that a plan can be put in place and the necessary follow up training provided."

Ms Scotney says the growth of the company is driving them to create a position for a dedicated person to look after induction training. This would include their Tramada and Amadeus systems, induction, product, destination, sales, and business development.

"The personal travel manager network is still from time-to-time referred to as a home-based cottage industry but this is so far from the truth it isn't funny. TravelManagers is a specialist business supported by smart-technology and managed by our team of experienced travel industry professionals each of whom is an expert in their field."

Ms Scotney says their extensive purpose-built structure supporting their personal travel managers covers all phases of their involvement.

"It doesn't matter whether our personal travel manager is a start up or an established mature operator, we have the support for them and it's ongoing. This latest position requires specialist training skills and experience."

TravelManagers have just experienced their best first quarter financial results yet; proof Ms Scotney claims that the TravelManagers operation is a business model of the future.

"The benefits of being a personal travel manager are well documented. TravelManagers has an impeccable record and most importantly today's consumer is time poor and looking for top quality service, in-depth knowledge and the personal approach. We will continue to push the bar higher and the development of this latest position, the training manager, is a great example of the lengths we will go to, to support our personal travel managers."

The position will be based in Sydney with a national focus. For a confidential discussion regarding this position and to receive a job description please contact Aaron Stinson, national recruitment manager on 02 8062 6440 or aarons@travelmanagers.com.au
