TravelManagers is currently planning for its third national conference which will be held in Sydney at the Shangri La Hotel. This year it will consist of two full days taking place on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 November.

Chief executive Joe Araullo says the theme for this year's conference is "The Best Partner in Travel" and input as always will be sought from their personal travel managers regarding content.

"We seek input because the focus of the conference is very much on the personal travel managers and better equipping them. However this year we have sought greater input via completion of an online survey."

Mr Araullo says questions included what topics they would like to see as part of the smaller breakout sessions which TravelManagers introduced last year.

"These sessions rated incredibly highly on the feedback forms after last year's conference, so this year we want to step it up covering topics that are pertinent to our personal travel managers."

While reluctant to reveal what those topics would be, he did say there would be huge variety from IT, to marketing to analysis of the market.

"Some topics from last year will also be repeated with refreshed information as a result of such positive feedback last year, particularly the key note speaker slots which focus on marketing and motivation."

Mr Araullo says this year's conference is expected to attract in excess of 200 personal travel managers.
