TravelManagers sales have increased 82 percent in the January - June 2010 period compared to the equivalent six months in 2009. The increased sales figures are directly benefiting their personal travel managers with an increase of 127 percent in those PTMs achieving more than $50,000 commission, for the same time period last year.

Chief executive officer Joe Araullo says he is thrilled with the figures putting the result down to a combination of the quality of their personal travel managers and the stability and breadth of TravelManagers' senior management team.

"The experience and knowledge that our personal travel managers possess is invaluable with a network average of 15 years consulting in the industry. Our senior management team has been with us from the start, each contributing significant and differing travel experiences ensuring strong supplier relationships and a true passion for this constantly changing sector."

Mr Araullo says the financial result is the dividend for their efforts regarding support for their personal travel managers through a strong marketing approach and outstanding technology solutions.

"Our intranet is stacked with rich content, training and product development opportunities, marketing initiatives and support plus through our technology our personal travel managers have 24/7 access to client files and supplier transactions."

Mr Araullo says the financial result is a direct result of growth across all business segments.

"Sales of air tickets are up 93 percent and accommodation is also up a similar amount but I am most excited about our growth in cruising (up 76 percent) and tours and packages (up 74 percent) as there is real value add from our personal travel managers in these areas to their clients."

Mr Araullo says the top state for sales volume was New South Wales with ACT and then South Australia having the largest growth in percentage terms.

"It is pleasing to see growth coming from a number of states, in addition to those mentioned above Victoria had the largest dollar growth and four of our top 10 (by sales) personal travel managers live here."
