Results Only a Click Away

TravelManagers fortnightly eNewsletter introduced at the beginning of June called 'Personally Yours' is not only driving solid referrals and enquiries but generating quality results. Their executive general manager, Mandy Scotney says the eNewsletters are proving to be a highly effective marketing tool for the company's personal travel managers.

"We get great feedback from clients because they are easy to read quickly and if something sparks their interest all they need to do is click to send an email or give a call for more information."

Ms. Scotney says that electronic marketing tools combined with the personal travel manager approach have been hugely successful for both parties.

"It ensures the personal travel manager's name is in front of their clients reminding them of their availability and quality of service. It energizes them to enquire about travel contained in the eNewsletter that is not necessarily on their radar.

"The other side is that our personal travel managers ring their clients using the eNewsletter as the basis for the call. This provides them with a great opportunity to have a general catch up and at the same time ensures that clients don't feel forgotten, after all everyone likes the personal approach."

Recently the personal approach was taken to the next level.

Michelle Michael-Pecora a personal travel manager from Castle Hill in New South Wales had a bite from the eNewsletter so she contacted Ed Smith general manager of Canada & Alaska Specialist Holidays seeking additional information about the promoted Canada Alaska departure for May next year.

"Nothing was a problem for Canada & Alaska Specialist Holidays. Ed even travelled 40 kilometres in each direction to meet with me and my clients to help me secure the deal. You can imagine how impressed the clients were. If it wasn't for the eNewsletter there is no way I would have made that sale."

Ms. Scotney says that whilst the eNewsletter is centrally produced it is dispatched to each individual personal travel manager's client database.

"It appears in their client's inbox as if it has been electronically personalised from them. The content of the eNewsletters is varied and regularly offers a comprehensive assortment of contrasting destinations and special offers that appeal to a wide range of customer demographics and interests."

Ms Scotney says the number of clients who open the eNewsletter is consistently in line with the average for travel according to Digital Marketing click through statistics.
