Enlightening Cruise Season for TravelManagers’ Cruise Product Manager
As TravelManagers’ Cruise Product Manager, Lia Malone has more than ten years’ experience with all things cruise: her expertise is based on a firm belief that there is no substitute for first-hand experience. She spent the recent Australian cruise season getting reacquainted with as many cruise lines and ships as possible, with a nine-night Oceania famil exploring the islands of Indonesian aboard Oceania’s MS Regatta and a 14-night holiday from Sydney to Fiji aboard Seabourn Odyssey among the highlights.
Malone says she found her experiences particularly useful for gaining an insight into latest protocols and procedures that have been implemented by cruise lines since the pandemic.
“It was also helpful to see that any onboard cases of Covid caused little to no disruption to the other guests,” she notes. “Gaining real-life perspective on how it all works has allowed me to provide knowledge and reassurance to PTMs and their clients – and quickly had me thinking of my next trip!”
