TravelManagers’ Operations Manager, Troy Coelho, has returned from the recent International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) Asia Pacific travel forum equipped with exciting luxury travel prospects for TravelManagers’ network of personal travel managers (PTMs).
The event, held at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, provided Coelho with access to 580 luxury providers covering Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and space travel.
“It was also a great opportunity to gain fresh insight into the luxury travel market, based on the findings from a recent survey of the habits of luxury travellers” Coelho reports. “80 percent of the survey’s respondents confirmed they intend to work with a travel agent for their next holiday, citing their in-depth product knowledge and an ever-changing travel landscape.”
Other key trends included a preference for fewer holidays of longer duration, and a desire to incorporate health and wellness experiences into holiday plans. Luxury properties that focus on sustainability and community engagement were appealing to almost a third of respondents, and multi-generational holidays featured among the top five reasons to travel.
Coelho says meeting with a wide variety of luxury providers at the forum has resulted in TravelManagers strengthening existing relationships with supplier partners and forging new ones that will complement its partnership with luxury provider, Signature Travel Network.
“As a result of our first attendance at ILTM Asia Pacific, TravelManagers has secured a number of exciting opportunities for our PTMs to enhance the luxury aspect of their businesses.”
