TravelManagers has released its sales results for the first quarter of 2024, adding a further seven percent increase in total sales to the previous year’s record-breaking January to March period. Executive General Manager, Michael Gazal, says the company’s strong showing surpasses its already-ambitious targets for the January to March period by around nineteen percent.
“What’s even more pleasing is that we have also seen growth in our total number of bookings and the average value per booking,” he adds.
According to TravelManagers’ Finance & Commercial Manager, Tanyu Cilek, the United Kingdom and Europe have retained their appeal with Australian travellers, accounting for well over forty percent of the company’s total sales in the first quarter.
“Asia is also continuing to be in high demand, with Australian domestic travel – especially in the high-value, luxury and cruise sectors – rounding out the list of highest performers.”
Personal travel manager (PTM) Tanya Tyler, who is based in Sydney, says it is an exciting time to be part of the travel industry.
“There’s a lot happening at the moment, but the team at TravelManagers’ National Partnership Office (NPO) do a fantastic job of supporting me and my business through this period of growth.”
Gazal describes TravelManagers’ first-quarter results as, “testament to the dedication of our network of PTMs, the resilience of our business model and the trust placed in us by our valued clients.”
“It’s always good to start a new year on a high note, and we are looking forward to continuing this momentum throughout the remainder of 2024.”
