Personal Travel Managers Find Treasures of India’s Golden Triangle

There were countless “pinch me” moments for personal travel manager (PTM) Tanya Nielsen and her TravelManagers colleagues during their tour of India’s famous Golden Triangle, which they experienced as the guests of Travel Sapphire.

“Where else in the world can you come across an elephant walking along the road, cleaning it with leaves, or encounter a traffic jam caused by cows who have decided to stop in the centre of a main intersection?” she laughs.

The famil visited iconic locations such as the Red Fort in Delhi, the Taj Mahal in Agra and the City Palace in Jaipur, and Nielsen describes it as an incredible opportunity to experience this fascinating region of India in Travel Sapphire’s expert hands.

“The local people were so friendly, and our guides, driver and host were exceptional – very passionate about India, and so knowledgeable about even the smallest details,” she reports. “I had been slightly apprehensive beforehand, so it was great to feel 100 percent safe and looked after, wherever we went.”

Fellow PTM Hope Johnson says the group’s expert guides added extra layers of wonder to their visit: “I had expected the Taj Mahal to be a main highlight of our time in India, and learning how it had been built, the craftsmanship and the story behind its construction, made it an even more beautiful experience.”
