Seven personal travel managers (PTMs) experienced a range of premium experiences in New Zealand’s North Island during a recent famil hosted by ANZCRO. The group qualified for their famil spots as the result of an ANZCRO sales incentive campaign in partnership with TravelManagers.

Their itinerary began with a two-night stay in Wellington, where they visited the Wētā Workshop studios and were treated to a private tour of world-class eco-sanctuary, Zealandia.

The group then travelled from Wellington to Auckland aboard the Northern Explorer in Scenic Plus Premium Class, which provided the advisors with first-hand insight into the spectacular scenery and value of premium rail travel.

PTM Paula Albers, based in Queensland, says: “There’s no substitute for experiencing a destination yourself. This famil has given me the knowledge and confidence to better match my clients with the right experiences, whether that’s a luxury rail journey, a family holiday, or a foodie escape. I can’t wait to share what I’ve learnt and help more clients discover just how incredible New Zealand really is.”

Highlights in Auckland included a tour of the All Blacks Experience and a day on Waiheke Island, complete with a wine tour and lunch with Ananda Tours. The famil concluded with a farewell dinner-with-a-view at Orbit 360 atop the Sky Tower.

Air New Zealand provided the flights, allowing for the group of advisors to experience premium lounge access and the carrier’s new Business Premier product. Great Journeys New Zealand provided the Northern Explorer rail journey, while ANZCRO hosted the remainder of the program.

The participating travel advisors were Judy Orr (NSW); Maree Evans (QLD); Maria Miller, (NSW); Paula Albers (QLD); Tracey Lowry (VIC); Vikki Southern (WA); and Trish Clowes (QLD).
