From Las Vegas to Los Cabos, the future of luxury travel was the recurring theme at two global events last month, attended by representatives from TravelManagers.
Personal travel managers (PTMs) Dana Brown and Julianne Gazal-Rizk were joined by TravelManagers’ CEO Joe Araullo, COO Grant Campbell and Operations Manager Troy Coelho for Signature Travel Network’s annual conference, which took place over four days at Las Vegas’ iconic Venetian Resort.
More than 2600 agency owners, suppliers and travel agents from around the world attended a series of workshops, keynote presentations and supplier trade shows, all of which were designed to forge connections and enable the sharing of knowledge and expertise.
“By halfway through day one, I felt I had already secured a significant return on the cost of attending the conference,” reports Brown. “Sessions covered everything from the digital and social media marketing tools available for Signature members, to rising global trends in the luxury travel space. It was one hundred percent worth the investment.”
TravelManagers was one of just three Australian travel agent brands invited to attend the Los Cabos VIP Travel Summit, which took place in Los Cabos, Mexico, the following week. According to Coelho, it was the perfect opportunity to meet face-to-face with the best luxury operators in what is still an emerging luxury destination for Australian travellers.
“The towns, culture, hotels and food scene in Los Cabos took my breath away – from the flavours of farm-to-table dining to the friendliness of the people, it’s a destination everyone needs to experience at least once in their life,” Coelho enthuses. “I now have the confidence and connections to advise our PTMs on the best properties and ground suppliers for their clients.”
