How We Can Help You Find Your Sea Legs as a Luxury Cruise Specialist

The luxury cruise market has never been more buoyant, propelled by new destinations, new ships and new onboard offerings that have created unprecedented levels of demand. TravelManagers’ dedicated cruise team is fully on board with the luxury cruise wave – to find out how they can help you take your cruise business to the next level, read on…

Lia Malone, TravelManagers’ Cruise Product Manager:

Our sales figures across the most well-known luxury cruise brands have increased significantly over the past four years, but this is only one part of a bigger story. There has also been a shift in terms of what many of our clients are looking for in a luxury cruise experience. Luxury has become less about high-end toiletries in their suites and crystal chandeliers in every hallway, and more about all-inclusive itineraries, outstanding attention to detail and consistently exceptional service.

Today’s luxury cruise guest wants to toast each spectacular day with a glass or two of excellent local wine without worrying about what their final onboard account will be, because it’s all included in their cruise fare. They appreciate a well-trained crew who  remembers their coffee order while offering tips on where to find the best gelato in that day’s port of call. They seek out unique, curated experiences, personalised touches and low guest-to-crew ratios.

Technology is also playing an increasingly significant role in the delivery of a luxury cruise experience. Apps allow passengers to pre-book their dinner arrangements, satellite-based wi-fi ensures they can remain connected with work and family back home, and fast-tracked boarding procedures maximise their time aboard while minimising the hassles traditionally associated with coming and going.

Many of our clients are extremely well-versed in the world of cruise travel, and they appreciate the first-hand knowledge and tailored recommendations that our personal travel managers (PTMs) bring to each new holiday experience. TravelManagers’ Cruise Product team works hard to ensure that every cruise-focused PTM remains up to date on what’s new and exciting in the world of luxury cruise. Our cruise partners play an important role in this, and we always make time to keep up with CLIA updates and training.

Between our team and our PTMs, we share a vast pool of knowledge and experience acquired over decades that simply can’t be found in a product manual. Whether a PTM has spent years building their business around a passion for selling luxury cruise holidays, or they have only just embarked on this new leg of their professional voyage, we are there to support them and to present them with opportunities to grow.

If you’re a travel advisor who’s looking to move into the luxury cruise space and would like to know how we can help make it happen, call (02) 8062 6400 for a confidential chat with one of our state-based Business Partnership Managers.
