How TravelManagers can unlock your path to success

How TravelManagers can unlock your path to success

How often do you pause to think about what success looks like for you as a travel advisor? If you already have a clear idea of where you want to be, do you have the right support in place to ensure that you get there? We asked our Executive General Manager, Michael Gazal, why he believes TravelManagers has the right stuff to help every great travel advisor navigate their own unique journey to success.

1. The Right Foundations

Support for our personal travel managers (PTMs) begins on day one, with an induction process that’s unlike anywhere else. Regardless of where you are based, when you join TravelManagers your journey starts in Sydney at our National Partnership Office (NPO), where you’ll spend three days (soon to be four) covering everything from fares and ticketing to IT and systems. You’ll also learn all you need to know about our GDS and our mid- and back-office systems.

2. A Road Map

We recognise that for many new PTMs, this is their first experience in running their own business. That’s why when you join us, we will ensure that you set out on the right foot, working together to design your business plan, marketing plan and financial objectives. A 90-day checklist is just one of the tools we use to define the key areas of focus for your first three months in business.

3. The Right Support Crew

Think of the NPO team as your support crew as you embark on the next stage of your career. Every member of our crew is dedicated to helping you identify and achieve your goals. Part of TravelManagers’ ethos is to create an environment that attracts people who are passionate about travel, who understand the nuances of the industry, and who love what they do. Our NPO team members have been with us for an average of ten years, and that longevity means they have the induction process down to a fine art – it’s a big part of what makes our network of PTMs so successful.

4. The Right Partners

Technological innovation and the rise of AI doesn’t spell the end of the travel advisor, because our PTMs will always offer something that customers can’t find elsewhere. Personalised service requires in-depth knowledge of products and destinations, as well as the ability to anticipate our customers’ desires.. We work closely with supplier partners to ensure that you’ll stay up to date on the latest developments, with access to amazing famil opportunities that add first-hand experience to your already extensive knowledge.

5. Our Vision

The best travel advisors are the ones who know how to capitalise on the good times while keeping close watch for hazards. We are lucky to work in an industry that is so dynamic and exciting, but we never lose sight of the fact that change is inevitable so we should be proactive about preparing for it.

Future-proofing your business is an ongoing process that we are committed to working through together, whether it’s facilitating wellness workshops or inviting world-class futurist thinkers to speak at our annual national conference.
