New Champion for Corporate-Focused Personal Travel Managers

New Champion for Corporate-Focused Personal Travel Managers

TravelManagers is taking steps to grow its presence in the corporate travel space with the creation of a new role that provides tailored support to personal travel managers (PTMs) and their business clients. Executive General Manager, Michael Gazal, says recently appointed Corporate Operations Executive, MaryLuz Escandor, brings with her a stellar background in the travel industry that will be instrumental in driving this growth.

“Over the past fourteen years, Mary has garnered a wealth of experience across multiple sectors of the travel industry, in airlines, cruise and sales. She will be working closely with our PTMs to provide the tools, support and confidence they need to grow and manage their corporate business.”

According to Gazal, Escandor’s initial focus will be on establishing a solid foundation for TravelManagers to achieve long-term growth in the corporate space: by listening, learning, and developing solutions that work for both PTMs and their clients.

“This will include building relationships with key airline and hotel suppliers to ensure they have access to competitive value and added benefits.”

With an eye on the future, Escandor says she is looking forward to playing her part in a corporate travel environment that harnesses evolving technology to become even more personalised, flexible and solution driven.

“TravelManagers is a stand-out out due to its personalised service model, national network of experienced personal travel managers, and a technology-supported yet human-centric approach. Unlike traditional agencies, the TravelManagers model emphasises relationship-based service, not just transactional support, partnering big TMC [Travel Management Company] capabilities with boutique service.”

Escandor says she is relishing the challenges and opportunities presented by the creation of a brand-new role.

“After years of working in leisure travel, I am enjoying the fresh perspective and focus that the world of corporate travel offers. It is fast-paced and purpose-driven, but it is still driven by people and relationships.

“In any new role, I enjoy connecting the dots, identifying what’s working, and building from there. I’m excited to be part of the TravelManagers corporate offering.”
