TravelManagers Adds Two New Faces to Partnership Team
TravelManagers has welcomed two new members to its team of state-based Business Partnership Managers (BPMs), continuing a well-established tradition of recruiting experienced mentors to support its national network of 500-plus personal travel managers (PTMs).
According to National Business Partnership Manager Julia McLean, the pair will provide business development, mentoring and supplier relationship management: Olivia Glover and Lucy Hunter will look after PTMs in Victoria and South Australia respectively.
The SA-based role became vacant upon the retirement of Maggie Bootsman, who brought more than four decades of experience in the travel industry to her role as a BPM.
“Although we will miss Maggie’s passion and wisdom,” McLean notes, “we are delighted to have Lucy and Liv joining the team.”
As well as sharing their expertise with PTMs within their regions through one-on-one, local cluster and regional meetings and training sessions, McLean says Hunter and Glover will have plenty of opportunities to further their own careers through TravelManagers’ program of ongoing professional development.

“These include presentation skills and professional development training sessions, as well as a Peer Mentoring program that was introduced earlier this year.”
Most recently, Glover was Business Development Manager for Cathay Pacific, having also worked with Sabre and numerous retail travel brands. She believes her experience as a home-based travel consultant provides a solid foundation of understanding for her new role.
Hunter also began her career as a retail travel consultant before moving into business development, marketing and consulting roles.
“I love building partnerships and I’m looking forward to learning about each PTM’s business challenges and opportunities,” Hunter explains. “I think TravelManagers offers a fabulous model that allows travel advisors to take control of their work-life balance and be rewarded for their hard work.”
“The BPM team concept shows that TravelManagers really values the importance of having local representation to support PTMs in their individual journeys.”
