TravelManagers Celebrates The Opening Of Its Refreshed Office Space
There’s a new luxury “hotel” in central Sydney that you won’t find on any booking site. TravelManagers’ Leearne Groves was tasked with transforming the travel brand’s National Partnership Office (NPO), shared with sister company Hoot Holidays, from a simple, white space into something warm, inviting and fun. The outcome is a collection of unique and stylish spaces that has been branded “House of Travel Hotel”.
We created seven ‘spaces’: The Chalet, The Resort, The Hamptons, The Country, The City, Hoot Holidays’ Tropics and The Entrance. “Each space needed to be functional as meeting and breakout areas, but we also wanted to create something that would reflect and celebrate our collective passion for travel,” Groves explains. “We all fell in love with the concept of creating a theme for each room based on our favourite parts of the world, and I had a lot of fun researching, planning, and coming up with creative ideas to meet this brief.”
- The Hamptons invokes notions of a laid-back American summer.
- The Chalet is the breakout area, where friendly competition on the golf putting mat, foosball table and darts take place.
- The lovely drinks tray is in place for all post-work necessities!
- The main boardroom was re-branded to ‘The City’.
- A smaller meeting room, The Country is a cosy and light room.
- The Resort is a fun, vibrant room with lots of character.
Groves is a member of TravelManagers’ NPO marketing team, but the team call her a closet interior designer. This is no surprise given her previous experiences in working with lifestyle magazines and home renovation TV shows. She curated an eye-catching assortment of furnishings, from stylish floor rugs and eye-catching artwork to a gorgeous drinks trolley, transforming previously unremarkable meeting rooms into inviting, themed areas such as a chic Hamptons beach house, a luxury ski chalet and a cosy country cottage.
“It was a thrill to be asked to take on this project, and I loved seeing everyone’s reactions when it was ready to be unveiled. I see people gathering at lunch or at Friday afternoon drinks and darts tournament and socialising more than they did before. The entire office has a great vibe, and I feel lucky to work in such a beautiful space.”
