Business Partnership Manager Role Description

Being a Business Partnership Manager (BPM) means playing a pivotal role in driving sustainable growth across an assigned region through business coaching, recruitment, retention of Personal Travel Managers (PTMs), and management of key local supplier relationships.

Unlike a traditional product or sales role, this position centers on structured business development and coaching, aligned with national strategy and delivered through close collaboration with internal teams. Combined with consistent engagement with PTMs, this drives measurable commercial outcomes. The BPM demonstrates initiative and leadership within established frameworks, working collaboratively across functions and contributing as an integral member of the broader National Partnership Office (NPO) team.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience in business development, agency management, recruitment, or a similar role within the travel industry
  • A strong network of industry relationships and a deep understanding of small business operations
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and influence others
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience setting and achieving targets
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
  • High levels of organisation, professionalism, and attention to detail
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently as part of a national team

Key Responsibilities 

  • Build, nurture, and strengthen long-term relationships with partners and key stakeholders
  • Act as a trusted advisor, guiding and developing individual businesses based on their unique needs
  • Identify opportunities for growth and implement tailored strategies to drive performance
  • Collaborate across internal teams to deliver customer-centric solutions
  • Think creatively and “outside the box” to solve challenges and unlock new opportunities
  • Stay informed about travel industry trends and proactively adapt to change
  • Represent the business confidently in meetings, networking events, and stakeholder engagements
