TravelManagers promotes Julia McLean to new National Business Partnership Manager role

Having spent the last six years providing support and mentoring to personal travel managers (PTMs) as one of TravelManagers’ two NSW-based Business Partnership Managers (BPMs), Julia McLean is now set to broaden her horizons as she steps into a newly created National Business Partnership Manager role.

The move will see McLean working with TravelManagers’ eight state-based BPMs who, together with the Sydney-based National Partnership Office team, ensure that its nationwide network of PTMs (and their clients) receive the best possible assistance and opportunities.

Moving on from the challenges faced by the travel industry over the last three years, McLean is anticipating a need within her new role to assist agents in finding a new home at TravelManagers.

“With more consumers now seeking an experienced travel advisor, our focus is on providing a supportive and positive space for the many talented agents who are looking to return to the industry,” she notes. “Alongside the robust financial protections we have in place in the form of our ‘Peace of Mind’ promise, one of TravelManagers’ biggest drawcards is that our systems, procedures and support have been developed specifically for home-based consulting.”

TravelManagers’ Executive General Manager, Michael Gazal, agrees that McLean and her team of state-based BPMs are uniquely placed to meet the fast-growing interest in home-based consulting.

“Julia has a thorough grounding in all aspects of travel consulting, and her first-hand experience means that she fully understands what it takes to run a successful home-based business,” Gazal notes. “She delivered a stellar performance as a BPM, and will approach her new role with a wealth of skills and abilities that are complemented by the strong relationships she has built with PTMs, suppliers and the NPO team.”

McLean identifies the collaborative culture of TravelManagers’ NPO team as one of its great strengths: “I am really looking forward to working with our team to continue supporting our PTMs.
